I don't like direwolf, because it won't work with connected packet. What does that mean? It means you cannot use it to connect with another station. This is used for packet BBS stations and keyboard to keyboard chats with other stations, where a verified connection is used. In essence, dw can only be used for APRS.

I would like one to do nodes and digipeaters also, and one that I can have stand alone so I can keep the computer off except when I want to check messages.
